Global Health Project Coordinator

Remote Worker

Job Description:

This is a challenging, multi-faceted position for a public health professional wishing to utilize international skills. We are seeking someone with a passion for public health, a commitment to teamwork and program coordination, and fluency in French to join us as a full-time Project Coordinator. The Project Coordinator provides implementation and technical support to GSSHealth international public health projects and works with clients and stakeholders to implement and track project activities. The Project Coordinator may support one or more GSSHealth projects related to HIV and/or infectious diseases. The duration of this contract is through 30 September 2025 at which point the position will be contingent on renewed funding. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Provide program administrative support to the Senior Project Manager and other team members in planning, initiation, and execution of global health projects

  • Assist in monitoring project deliverables and outcomes

  • Provide French-English and English-French translations and interpretations

  • Facilitate project stakeholder meetings by setting up meetings, providing interpretation when required, recording and distributing meeting minutes, and following up on new action items

  • Support the GSSHealth team to set-up and conduct online and in-country workshops and site assessments

  • Provide logistics support for travel, training workshops and procurement of equipment and supplies

  • Communicate and coordinate regularly  (teleconferences, WhatsApp, email, etc.) with francophone stakeholders to ensure timely implementation of project activities

  • Supports development of program plans and reporting

  • Other activities as required, including but are not limited to: contributing to program newsletters, technical procedures and  GSSHealth social media

Requirements:

  • Written and oral proficiency in English and French is required

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

  • Ability to work both independently and cooperatively in culturally diverse team settings

  • Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments

  • Ability to investigate and analyze information and draw conclusions

  • Organizing and coordinating skills

  • Records maintenance skills

  • Ability to compile and produce educational and promotional materials
