GSSHealth is a strong supporter of the Maputo Declaration. Signed on January 24th 2008, the Maputo Declaration on
Strengthening of Laboratory Systems calls upon governments, multilateral agencies, academic institutions, professional
associations and development partners to recognize the burden of priority deseases (HIV, TB and malaria), the
importance of leadership in developing laboratory services as an integral part of the health system and the need to
improve the breadth and quality of service.

GSSHealth is a member of the Stop TB Partnership. The partnership consists of countries, international governmental
and non-governmental organizations, representatives from the public and private sectors and individuals brought
together by a common goal to eliminate TB as a public health issue.
